Resetting may help address the following issues: keyboard or mouse are not functioning properly, Chromebook seems frozen, or unable to wake up Chromebook.

To fix some Chromebook problems, you might need to reset your Chromebook hardware, also called
a hard reset. It will restart your Chromebook hardware (like your keyboard and touchpad).
At the bottom right, select the time.

Select Shut down .
Step 3 of 3
On your Chromebook’s keyboard, press and hold Refresh and tap Power .
When your Chromebook starts up, release Refresh .
You’re all done.
Now you can reset your Chromebook.
